“Sit down.” Vikrant snapped crossing his arms and locking eyes with me.
Despite everything, I sat on the armchair. Don’t know why. Even now, he held that power over me. Something which was highly annoying and which I so desperately wanted to change.
“I am going to take care of your father’s expenses. I will make sure that your dream project is completed. But I will need you to do something in return.”
I chuckled.
“What’s funny?” He clenched his jaw.
“You never help anyone without a reason. There’s always a catch. What do you want?”
He took a step towards me. “When is the wedding?”
“Twenty-fifth August.” I had no clue where this was going.
He walked over to where I was sitting. I stared in confusion.
“You are going to get married on that day?”
“To Amlesh. My fiancée—”
“No.” He hissed. “You will marry me.”
“Are you out of your mind, Vikrant?” I sprang up.
He grabbed my wrist and pulling me close whispered. “If you love your Papa, you will marry me, Daniella.”
